HIGH ENERGY FOOT STOMPIN’ BLUES & ROOTS
Australian blues/roots troubadour Richie Langford has spent several years on the road playing 100+ shows each year, performing at festivals, bars, pubs and coffee houses.
After a successful 2017 with a run of gigs in Europe, three East coast tours and performances at the world-famous Blues on Broadbeach, he has been hard at it this year, already completing a tour of New Zealand's South Island and two along Australia's east coast, with another planned for December.
It’s hard to believe that one man can produce so much sound……with vintage guitar tones Richie
employs hands, feet and mouth on assorted guitars, harmonicas, loop pedal and an old suitcase
converted into a kick drum to deliver a well-honed repertoire of well-known upbeat blues, soul & roots standards with rockin’ grooves.
This year sees the release of Richie’s latest studio album, Bluestone Road. ‘’This is a classy showcase of Richie Langford’s talent whether you like your blues mellow and finger picking, or stomping and steaming’’ (Rhythms Magazine); ‘’Fantastic stuff’’ (Barry Maxwell, Blues on the hill 99.3FM); a fantastic solo outing, with cameo performances from his ''Blind Creek Rhythm & Blues Review'' bandmates and backing vocals by Australian music legend Grace Knight, Bluestone Road is already getting radio play around Australia and receiving rave reviews.
